NDC Parliamentary Candidate donates 1,400 books to GES

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region, Ernest Norgbey, has donated 1,400 branded exercise books to the Ashaiman Municipal Education Directorate.

Mr. Norgbey, who made the presentation during the Independence Day parade in Ashaiman, noted that it is in fulfilment of one of his key priority areas.

He said education is one key area he is interested in and would roll out several initiatives to ensure that every child has access to it in the constituency.

“One key area that I am so much interested in is education and I am going to do everything within my means to give it the maximum attention it deserve” he noted

He said when a child is given a firm educational foundation; he or she becomes independent and is able to contribute to national development.

He urged the educational directorate to put the books into good use.

Receiving the books, the Ashaiman Municipal Director of Education, Madam Patty Assan, promised to put the books to good use, saying it will benefit all underprivileged pupils in the municipality.

Ernest Norgbey donates roofing sheets
Mr. Norgbey also donated four packets of roofing sheets and two hundred pieces of exercise books to the African Faith Academy also in Ashaiman.

The donation according to him is in fulfilment of a campaign promise prior to becoming a parliamentary candidate for the NDC in Ashaiman.

Mr. Norgbey, a passionate Philanthropist, recently acquired a land to build for an elderly woman who was rendered homeless in a demolishing exercise in Ashaiman.
